Tulsa intrasquad scrimmage
https://tulsa.rivals.com/news/tulsa-men-...-scrimmage

Keyshawn embry isn't playing for some reason
projected starters Pritchard & Tim Dalger didnt play, but both expected to be cleared for their monday game

really uptempo, lots of points, lots of 3

in about a half worth of game time:
sam griffin had 18pt
their 2 true freshman guard scored 13
their transfer guard from chicago st had 14

defense is strictly man to man no switching a departure from their iconic zone

Kenpom, nor bartovik nor Vegas would predict uC to beat Purdue on a neutral floor. Every metric system says Purdue is better.

And edey tried to be a factor.. he was shutdown. 3/10 from the field but he had 10 rebounds or so. If anything uC shutting down one of the most efficient big men in the country Is a big ass deal, they just didn’t account for all the work the freshman pg would put in.

Kaufman lead them in scoring with 15…. Their pg had 12 points… loyer had 11.. Newman had 14 points Purdue

What are we even talking about ?

And dude please stop posting that stupid ass Purdue clip… if I made a video showing 1 min of good video from one of John Brannen’s 40 point losses to Houston I could make it look like Houston sucked. Even though they won by 40…

Come on dude. Be smart. All highlight videos never show the full picture. I mean based on that video uC didn’t score a bucket and Purdue shot 100%

UC is ranked higher in experience
you were run out by freshmen ...

"Kaufman lead them in scoring with 15…. Their pg had 12 points… loyer had 11.. " these are all freshmen

and the clip was about rotation not plays (not how uc looked, but who purdue had on the floor)... eday was barely in the game!!. this is from purdue's beat writer in a podcast,

He played 20 min at least and put up 10 shots. I read the same recap.

Literally we also saw zero info on the UC side. We don’t know how deep uC went Into its bench or if it was a bad shooting night from 3… we don’t even have a box score. UC likely tried to shut down the players on the scouting report and they did a good job with edey, but end up leaving the younger guys open.

Edey didn’t shoot 30% one time last year. Meaning UC did a phenomenal job on him.

And what does ranked higher in experience mean? That’s not a thing. CBS sports doesn’t release a “ranked higher in experience” poll. Purdue is culture program with one of the best cultures in basketball. Wes Miller is a 2nd year coach at program gutted by a bad hire.

My guess is Purdue ends up being a tourney team that has sweet 16 potential.

wes miller in the presser 2 days ago said he used real rotations vs purdue and treated it like a real game

eday only played 20minutes and it was a blowout

the gold and black podcast (purdue podcast) said the rotation was mostly focus on the young guys from their source...that purdue loves scrimmages from the west virginias type of team who are really physical because it pushes the growth of their freshmen..and the 2 main ball handlers for purdue are freshmen who have never played against td1 competition (Again it was purdues 1st scrimmage, even though it was cincys second)

you can pretend you dont understand my point: next year UC will be young but talented
potentially starting
Isaiah Collier (or a transfer)
jizzle
rayvon
skilling
Viktor Lakhin

if you lost in a scrimmage in the preseason to Georgia youd be the 1st to point out that you are playing freshmen and that youd expect in the preseason regardless of the fact UC will likely be higher touted because they are young

you can also pretend this isnt bad sign and what youd expect all you want.. the season starts in 2 days it doesnt matter

the wierd thing is that all the UC fans have adjusted their expectation including you .. you guys lowered you expectations from this scrimmage results but pretending it means nothing.. we were just talking about this being a break through year for UC 3 weeks ago, with miller saying they were making the ncaa tournament
