We had PG Braylon Wheeler, from IMG Academy in Florida, in for a official visit for the GMU game. He currently in a post-grad year. The other night he had 18 assists.

Wheeler played HS in VA at Hayfield HS and led the Hawks to a perfect 32-0 campaign with the VHSL Class 6 crown in basketball last season.

Nice. Good game for him to be at. If I’m reading things right, looks like he (or anyone) would have to wait until April to sign.

Very nice get. This is the type of player we need to be signing. But signing day is in April. It’s unlikely we will have a new coach that quickly. If we do, maybe he can still seal the deal. Hate to be a downer, but not going to get too excited until it’s in writing. Nice work by Coach Brooks on this though.

Its possible, but I know of a transfer that was supposed to be visiting in that timeframe. That transfer would be huge.

Sounds like his brother 6-5 Jr SG is also going to commit. Committed over BC, Ga Tech VCU and others. Do worry JJ will be here next year to coach him

Definitely seems to be an uptick in recruiting with the new assistants on board. Especially Brooks.

Very Nice gets especially Vassean ! Just be careful getting too excited. While the commitment is great I hope they do the things needed to fulfill their commitment. Love what Brooks and Robinson are doing on the recruiting trail.

Man, one oblique reference to his brother, no other info on this kid. What position does he play? Is he good like his brother?

We need another 6'3" player like we need a hole in the head! 6'9" 6'10" 6'11" 7'0" this is what we need! Tired of playing "David and Goliath" against every opponent we face. Are we restricted from trying to recruit players like this or is this simply the JJ way!
