He's already exceeded expectation no doubt, I've never believed for a second that he was ripping that job from Jones personally, but he's shown enough to get a look elsewhere.

Here is something for the WKU critics from MT.
2022-WKU 35, MT 17
2021-WKU 48, MT 21
2020-WKU 20, MT 17
2019-WKU 31, MT 26

Very true. In college the defender wouldn't have made it to that ball for the final interception. In the NFL they are fast and can cover more ground. He will get used to speed eventually and know what he can and can't get away with. Peyton had 28 ints his rookie year.

Jones will being looking elsewhere in a year or 2. Zappe is the future at that position for the Patriots. I would be okay with Jones coming over to my Saints.

Jones has another two seasons on his rookie deal if New England doesn't pick up the fifth year option.
Jones might not be the future in New England, but he's still more likely to be than Zappe is.

Who hurt you? This kid went from 0 star recruit, to mid-tier FCS, to FBS dual record holder, to 4th round pick, and now playing legit games in the NFL. Nobody on WKU's side is claiming him as the messiah, but we sure are damn proud of this kid and should be. Rooting for Zappe to fail is just a weird flex and you've been doing it week on week.

I'm not rooting for or against Zappe.
The first time I posted anything about him in the NFL was one week ago when it was suggested he'd be starting for multiple NFL teams right now, I responded to another poster who claimed he was Tom Brady good.

I’m cheering hard for Zappe. He torched our ass in our bowl game, he’s a legit talent. I’m happy to see him kicking some ass. Always good to see G5 players doing well too.

Seems like Mac Jones is the starter again this Sunday ... but for how long?

Regarding Zappe, I look at this kid with the same amazement I have when any non-Cartel athlete makes the NFL. Amazed he was drafted. Amazed he made the 53 man roster, Amazed he started a couple of games, Amazed how well he played when allowed to do so. He doesn't have to be the next Tom Brady. DANG IT! Let's just be proud of his accomplishments and hope he continues to get the opportunity to excel. Go CUSA!

Yea and clearly we got some who are big time mad about it. He was 3rd on draft chart!!! He was drafted in 4th round!! Sound like Troy Aikman on MNF, he was not happy about Jones being benched for Zappe either...

I just love seeing an HBU Husky doing what he has done at thsi level. Just imagine what Malik could do if Vrabel would finally give him a chance.

Hes getting a chance Sunday sounds like to me. However Willis is not going to be QB until after this season. That's the plan, they will not resign Tannehilll and let him walk. However Tannehill is not a bad regular season QB and doesnt make too many mistakes. Willis will get his chance...Dont tell MTSU fan above he was 3rd on depth chart and 3rd round pick however..

Well, speaking about Aikman, he's never been a rooter for the G5. He's an S in that regard. He's not a nice man, it seems to me. I like Moose Johnson a lot better in the booth.
