I know you will miss UC, but buck up camper. UC will be down there a few times every year because all of the Texas teams that left behind years ago.

And don't worry, we will leave the money on the dresser for you. Get yourself something nice.

Dude are you on crack. Texas and Oklahoma are gone. The Big12 is now mwc+

And Cincinnati, UCF, and Houston are gone. The AAC will officially be CUSA+.

Enjoy the Acronym Conference with your new friends UTSA, UNT, UNCC, UAB, and FAU will no doubt feel right at home with USF, ECU, SMU, and USF.

Lol. To me it’s more like BigXII Lite and the modern Metro Conference.

I’ve got someone worried. Maybe playing in a soccer stadium isn’t so great.

You've got someone amused.

If I were you I'd worry about SMU's longtime conference races with Rice and directional and hyphenated Texas schools.

The AD said they will be monitoring the situation, which means nothing imminent.

If they were to add wrestling and women's softball are probably near the top of the list. There's also people who want UC to bring back its men's soccer program.

The study on adding softball is underway. Really hope we do it. Just not sure where the facility would fit.

Not as much as some of the UH, UCF and UC fans think but still way more than the AAC left behinds will be making.

Not sure how many constitute as "some" but most I've seen are following the articles, interviews and tweets that show negotiations are landing somewhere between $350M to $400M or $30M to $33M per school. That is just for the FOX/ESPN deal and does not include other revenue like streaming content, CFP, Bowls, NCAA credits, etc. I do believe most, myself included, felt we could do better than the P12. The question has always been how much better? That will get answered soon.

Regardless of what conference you're in Jere, You'll always be Cincinnati Ohio. Known for nothing. Sorry... Cincinnati Chili...lol

What? It's one of the top engineering places in the world. This poor kid from the hoods of Colerain will die a decamillionaire, largely because of the city of Cincinnati. It's always on the top nuke lists for a reason.

I don't have anything against Memphis, but when I was there it felt like I was in a 3rd world country or deep in Colerain again. It kinda felt like home honestly.

The Big12 clearly wants to expand:

“I’ve telegraphed my intentions. I’ve decided I’m going to take a different approach. I’m going to telegraph it. I’m going to be very transparent and honest about my desires to go national, to expand, and I’ve done that … I aspire for this conference to be truly national,”

It appears the Big12 awaits a Big10 move on the PAC12 and the results from media payout review and then pick up schools like AZ, AZ St, Utah, and Colorado. The PAC12, obviously, will be gutted with perhaps four schools remaining and likely lose "Power" status like the BE.

If the BIG does gut the PAC, which I doubt, Bring in SMU, and/or Memphis /ECU. It may not happen to bring in late night games, but my preference.

Whatever. I don't know why its become so fashionable for UH "fans" to bash their team, especiallly this year, but its nothing new, been that way since the 80's from my experience. If UH isn't undefeated, ranked in the top 10, it's open season on the team. Sheesh! Y'all think a few bad games this season is a sign the future is doomed? LOL We'll be alright.

Its amazing that so many other fans of other schools wonder why UH attendance is always so pitiful... well for those that have ever asked, here's your answer, because we have fans that prefer to bash their team than support it.

And I don't care if that statement rubs anyone the wrong way.

enjoy lubbock, waco and stoolwater. other than the money, which remains to be seen losing two of the biggest brands in college football, i have no interest in any big 12 school.

03-lmfao

UCF just lost [/b]BADLYin Greenville....no...not THE Greenville (South Carolina), it was the Greenville in NC.

Also...this will be ANOTHER year in the Big 12 that your so-called biggest brands do NOT play in the Big 12 Championship Game.

This will also be the 13th straight season that Texas will not win a conf title.

DYK: Texas current HC (Sarkisian), has just a 10-10 record with the Longhorns...as he has a LOSING conf record (6-8) in Big 12 play.

FIFY

FIFY………… there feel better? You can pound your chest when you tell your grandkids about it.

RE: What kinda cash are UH, Cindy, and UCF walking into next year?
The Sports Business Journal reporter John Ourand, who covered sports media deals, says his sources indicate the Big12 media deal talks are somewhere between $350 to $400 million a year. That would project out to roughly 29 million to 33 million a team from media per year. If you split the difference and say it ends up at 375 million a year, that would pay each member about 31 from tv. The way I understood it, his assumption is that the 375 would not include 3rd tier---which is currently covered for most of the conference by an ESPN+ deal--so there could be a few extra million per team from that source). Added to that would be a full share CFP payout (possibly an increase coming from expansion there), NCAA tourney credits, bowl money, and other various revenue streams (sponsorships, league tournaments, licensing, etc). Total per team distribution is probably going to be around 45-50 million I suspect before any CFP expansion.

I'm skeptical that a deal is going to get hammered out without T3 rights. ESPN wants it to happen because they want to nail down ESPN+ content. The Big 12 wants it to happen to raise our topline number and I don't see a bidding war erupting over our least interesting games. So ESPN is likely to get those rights in the end anyway. All of the incentives here are to bundle the packages.

Was there something specific Ourand said that made you think otherwise?

I love my Coogs. I have had season tickets for decades, but I'm not going to sit here and pretend everything is fine when it clearly is not.
