Are they eligible to be ranked? I thought Notre Dame was the only independent with any provisions in the CFP rankings, or maybe they can be ranked but being the top G5 doesn't do anything for them?

Neither Notre Dame, nor Liberty, nor Ohio State are eligible for the one NY6 guaranteed berth given to the highest ranked among the five G5 league champions.

Liberty, like Notre Dame, is eligible for an at-large bid to any NY6 bowl.

Their path to NYD will be much easier next year as a CUSA member.

Does anyone get the feeling that we are building a stronger conference than the dumpster fire 2-3 sun belt. The belt can play it how they want but they are all just really average teams beating up on each other trying to play it off as parody

Been shouting it from the rooftops and most have been throwing me down the steps.

CUSA is gaining more than losing. Sam will be tough too.

There has been no one willing to even step up in the belt except maybe coastal and Troy. And the three sunbelt teams we dumped will end up helping us in the end. Their whole conference is terrible.

USM just lost to Georgia State lol. SBC have too many below avg teams and that will be there downfall

God no. Just think the SBC is reaping what they sow. They are literally a bunch of bad teams beating or losing to other bad teams and trying to tell everyone that they are the new P5.

I'm guessing LU rises from #23 to #20. And with JMU (5-3) loss to Louisville, can we put to rest the talk that JMU was the best FBS team in VA. I know JMU fans are excited to finally be FBS, and it is different playing big boy football rather than being FCS.

Do believe JMU is the most talented team in SBC.
Marshalls win over ND looks better tonight. App win over TAM isnt looking too good neither are GaSo win over Nebraska or ODUs win over VT.

Just not any real good G5 wins over good FBS teams this year.

Idk man. The fun belt is pretty cool. I like mid majors deciding who they want to play and being cool with being who they are. A MAC of the south is great. I think CUSA has a high ceiling though. I'm psyched to be in the conference and in FBS.

Its a gauntlet, CFP level teams on the schedule every week.
