RE: WKU / RICE NCAA tournament
Great wins! Too bad C-USA get 0 dollars out of two teams that advance. I'm sure the league would even settle for $50,000-total. Pretty much zilch for baseball, softball or any other (except BB, FB). Anything would be better than nothing.

RE: WKU / RICE NCAA tournament Volleyball
2nd straight year both teams won their opening matches. Both teams got swept last year in the 2nd round, but against pretty tough opponents (WKU to Georgia Tech, and Rice to Texas - both of those teams advanced to the Elite Eight, but fell short of making the Final Four).

Rice will play the Baylor/SFA winner tomorrow. WKU plays the Kentucky/Loyola, Chicago winner. So again, it will be a tough task to advance to the next weekend of matches, but we'll just have to see how things play out.

WKU beat UK in a closed exhibition game before the season. Hoping for a repeat of those results.

Rice tonight will be attempting to avenge the 2nd of our 3 losses this season. We set things right by finally beating WK in the Conference tourney (after losing in the regular season match).
Baylor was the only team that really outmatched Rice in the regular season. On paper I expect a much closer match and Rice is playing much better now than back then. We’ll see!

Both WKU and Rice will be playing (THAT TEAM) that seems to have our numbers. Hopefully both teams can get over that hump
