WBB Game 15: Stony Brook
Big test for Drexel today as they face another 3-0 CAA team, 9-5 overall. The only common opponent with Drexel is UMES, who SB beat by 10 at home. SB has expected losses to Syracuse and St. John's, but also lost to Penn, Bucknell, and Columbia. SBU has a balanced offense with 4 starters in double figures with Anastasia Warren leading with 16.6 PPG.
Last year, SBU was 23-6. They were 23-3 at one point, but lost their last 2 AE games by 2 points and 1 point, weren't eligible for the AE Tournament due to their decision to leave the AE, had 3 weeks off between games, and then lost at VCU in the WNIT.
Prediction
Drexel 65
SBU 60

We are really taking it to the Seawolves. I think this'll become a competitive rivalry down the road, but not today.

2nd and 3rd quarters were just dominant. I thought that they should have taken Kei out after the 3rd quarter, but she went back in the 4th and with the 30 point lead and Kei still in the game, SB went on that enormous run getting it to within 13 at one point in the 4th. Still a great win to dominate against a good SB team. Drexel is now tied with A&T for first place, both teams at 4-0.

Yeah this whole swing of 2 games was huge. Delaware and Stony Brook will be toward the top and we just went 2-0 against both and really dominated both games. Absolutely huge. I did not make a prediction on this one (Thanks for creating the thread JB), but I would not have predicted a double digit win.
