I like WKU's schedule. Obviously having MTSU and Liberty at home on Thursday and Tuesday sn't optimal for attendence, they should have decent TV ratings if all three are solid, as expected.

I was actually planning to go on the road to the JaxSt game until I realized it was on a Tuesday game.

We got an October bye, which you'd hope would have let us dodge one (preferably a home one), but nope. They gave us one in September.

I guess the deal is more of an "everyone plays 2 home and 2 away weeknight games around October" than an "all games in October on weeknights."

Which, if that is the case, could be a good thing in years with 5 weekends in October. Or, if not really a "good" thing per se, at least a "less bad" thing. I guess we'll see.

RE: 2023 CONFERENCE USA FOOTBALL SCHEDULE RELEASED
The Liberty games that concern me is at Jax State on a Tuesday following a Thursday game, and also at Western Kentucky will be difficult. Also, New Mexico State at home in week 2 isn't ideal while Chadwell is trying to get players to learn a new offensive system and after losing a lot of players to the portal.

We knew the mid-week games were coming so the only complaint I have with UTEP's schedule is the timing of the NMSU game. Should be at the end of the season.

Those teams stuck with short turnarounds have a legitimate complaint.

It sucks the only two real rivalries are midweek games.

Never too early to worry about that 1st game of the season. The Miners visit Jacksonville, Alabama for week zero. What do you expect from your team this season?

The schedule was released pretty early this year. TV schedule is next and usually comes out around the 1st of June. Looking forward to it and maybe it will be earlier than usual too.

Hard to say. We went 9-2 playing an FCS schedule but got blown out by Tulsa.

Looking forward to moving up. Congratulations on being the first FBS game in Jacksonville.

ONE Tues. night home game vs. LIBERTY

ONE Thurs. night home game vs MT* --- the best weeknight to play IMO

AWAY-- one Tues. game and one Wed. game---who cares? They are far AWAY and on Nat. TV.

FOUR HOME Saturday games and NO Thanksgiving or Halloween weekend games.

Compare to MAC 2022 schedule.

Maction:

Tues.--- 9
Wed.--- 8
Thurs.--0
Fri.---- 2 noon kickoffs on Nov. 25th (Black Friday)

They also had 5 OC games on Thursday, Sep. 1st; 3 at home on ESPN3 and plus, 2 away on FS1 and SEC Network.

C-USA has NO early in the year Thursday night games this season-- which IMO is a GOOD thing. Leaves more room for traditional Sat. games since we already have 6 Thurs. night games later in the season.

Would you trade that schedule with the MAC? I would not. IMO C-USA's is somewhat better.
