Men's game 22: @Elon
After our no-show appearance we stay down in NC to face Elon. Elon remains winless against DI opponents, but have put small scares into a few games. This team is bad. No way around that. However, if we dont put some effort into this one, we could just as easily be their first victim. Realistically we need to focus and put an absolute beating on them and get something positive going into our home game against potentially ranked Charleston. We do not want to go into that one riding a 2 game losing streak to teams we should beat. I dont think they will end up giving us much trouble
Drexel- 76
Elon- 54

RE: Men's game 22: @Elon
Traditionally, when a good team, or in Drexel's case, a mediocre team, has a horrendous game like we saw last night, they come out in their next game really focused and ready to play. I really hope last night was a wakeup call and they come in focused against a bad Elon team. I don't know if they'll win by 22 like we hope, but I do expect a win.
I just saw that Elon and NCA&T are just about a half hour apart, and the two closest schools geographically in the CAA (even Hofstra and SB are further). So the team might be staying in the same hotel all weekend and travel isn't an issue for them. Hopefully this will help them stay focused.

A scary line for today, we are only a 6 point favorite. Vegas must have watched us on flo the other night.

That's a fair line. Monmouth won today so anbody can win. Elon has been playing close games and is desperate for a win.

Elon won each half by 7 to win 72-58. Williams led all scorers with 23. Elon had five players score at least 8. Sean Halloran had 18 points and 5 assists.

Awful performance. Apparently our 2nd half effort from A&T was replicated all game yesterday. No effort whatsoever shown by our Dragons. Very disappointing that this road trip our team didnt even appear to want to play or even get off the bus. The results showed as much. Charleston lost to Hofstra so doesnt appear we will have a ranked team in the DAC on Thursday.

Bad loss, but I don't think any of us should really be shocked by the result. We knew coming into the season that this was a mediocre middle of the road team that would win between 7 to 9 conference games. They got off to a nice start beating up on some bad teams at home, but things are balancing out now. Mediocre teams like Drexel are prone to get beat by bad teams on the road once in a while.

Getting beat on the road is acceptable. The performance we put out in both, should not be tolerated ever.
