RE: College Football Attendance Averages for 2022
Thanks.

The BIG’s average attendance with USC and UCLA is around 65k. The only non P2 schools whose attendance numbers exceeded 65k were Clemson, FSU and ND. VT and Washington were close.

The SEC’s avearge attendance with OU and UT is over 78K. The only non P2 school whose attence number exceeded 78k was Clemson. ND was close.

The ACC’s thershold is much lower at 48k. Among non P2 schools, ISU, OK state, KSU, TTU, UW, UO, and Utah had the attendance number bigger than 48k. WVU, TCU, and Baylor were close.

Using JRs adjusted figures:

SEC: 78,480 (16 team avg)

B1G: 64,382 (16 team avg)

ACC: 48,115 (14 team avg)

B12: 47,256 (12 team avg)

PAC: 42,788 (10 team avg)

Definitely a two-tier set-up.

RE: College Football Attendance Averages for 2022
This actually shows the brilliance of Baylor's decision when they built their new TV studio disguised as a football stadium.
Baylor adopted a pro model, smaller, great sight lines, lots of amenities. Smaller capacity won't show empty seats on TV and acoustics will keep the stadium loud with a smaller crowd.
BTW most of the NFL stadiums have capacities in the 60's and 70's.
