I wouldn't focus on records too much here for the incoming, it's apples to oranges when comparing a record from Asun to the Wac to CUSA.

The ASUN is good at basketball this year. I would not downplay the ASUN

I'm not downplaying, the Net rating is the best way to compare if using cross-conference data at this point in the conference. Records in each conference would not translate to each conference. For transparency purposes, I suppose it's nice, but in relation to how each team would stack up in the new conference, it's not.

If going solely off the Asun win/loss record I suppose you’re right for this year. NCAA is testing a ranking system using the WAC this year, our standings are based on a Quad wins/losses algorithm. Sam actually isn’t the best standing record in the wac, but has more road Quad 1 wins than the rest of the WAC. When looking at the bigger picture, would KSU still be in front of the Asun if the NCAA adopts this to all of MBB?

Yes because the schools have the same conference recored before they played each other and went head to head and KSU won. KSU also beat Lipscomb which LU lost to.
