Too bad about going forward with a series. Tied for our longest with Louisville now. Fun game.
I understand why UC fans are frustrated but the refs didn't beat you. 20 turnovers and 2 missed one-and-ones at the end did it.

Turnovers beat us but no doubt the bad goaltend call ended up meaning a ton.
UC has gotten a bad whistle. And it’s likely bc we have a new coach plus ate exiting the league.

Good game Cincy. Bearcats are a really gritty team. That always seems to be the case. It’s sad to see one of the few basketball rivalry games we have left coming to an end.

I kinda doubt we'll be seeing Houston, UCF, or Cincy at all.
How often do we play Louisville?
How about Southern Miss since leaving CUSA?
How about UAB the since leaving CUSA?
We won't be seeing Cincy, Louisville, USM, UCF, or Houston very often if at all. We'll probably end up playing Ole Miss and Mississippi State more often.
It's what happens when you get 'left behind' and so I guess who? UAB, Tulane, and SMU will be the 'big rivals' going forward. Not hardly. Closest thing is some contrived bs with UAB.
Just have to face the fact starting next year that there are literally zero teams in the AAC that can be considered anything close to a 'rival'.

I suggest that UM will become what UC was in the early nineties 29-2, 27-4, etc., starting next year.....

That might get us a 6-7 seed based on what the AAC is about to become in basketball...
Look at FAU in CUSA this year. They won't get **** for a seed but a 12 loss UT team out of the SEC will get a 4 or 5.

We already did that with Calipari in the 2000s.

and he's still the last coach to put a really good team on the floor at Memphis.

we wont know who is going pro or going to the portal... but every major player on tulane (who beat memphis twice) and temple has eligibility ...
unclear what happens with wichita and the coach... but most key players are coming back (only lose porter and rojas)... and have a major player sitting out on ransfer rules
almost every single player on 26-3 fau has eligibility, only losing #4 score in the entire rotation(could lose coach though)..and noting uabs coach kennedy is one of the best portal recruiting coaches there is (though uab is losing a ton)
memphis is losing davis, lomax, McCadden and williams ..at minimum as they have 7 freshmen committed (not enough slots)..and they will be guarantied to target a center in the portal... memphis will be young next year

We last played UAB in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons and won both times.

that is a tough question... my guess is that they keep him for 1 more year, then fire him after next year...if he was at a program with a stronger history he would 100% be fired but if you stack up ucf best quality teams and wins (not talking auto-bid teams, or inflated record from weak conference) most of their historic top teams in quality are dawkins
so i think they will ride with him 1 more year... will likely get torn apart in th big 12 next year and then get fired

With this Memphis public high school referee crew, trust me, it's over
pat adams always wants to put on a show
instead of calling the game correctly

100%. Turnovers, missed free throws. We had our chances. People are frustrated because we’ve been close over and over again this year.
Tons of progress compared to last year but can’t get over the hump. Nice W. It will be tough but I hope these teams meet again without too much time passing
