I am legit surprised, because he is poised to be a very top tier candidate for P5 jobs this off-season.
But I also think ~75% of P5 schools would happily fork over $1 million extra to hire him. We'll see. I truly don't see him sticking around CofC for very long.

1M is a low buyout, so that will be picked up easily by many schools. So this is likely just a formality for Charleston donors/fans to appease them
