One conference has dominated football for nearly two decades as it is, March Madness will still be March Madness.
I agree that one particular conference has been allowed to dominate football the past two decades. But if the deck is stacked in your favor, that helps a great deal. Will they continue to dominate? Yes, because they have the money and the media on their side. But even though that conference has usually been in the championship, there’s been the chance (even though small) there would be a Cincinnati or a TCU to make things interesting. When people begin to be told that it’s these four and no more, or in this case these two conferences and no chance of anyone else crashing the party. I just don’t think that people are going to be very excited about that setup. But as a said, I could be wrong. People may be glued to their televisions watching the SEC Conference Championship 2.0 every year or Georgia playing OSU for the fifth year in a row. But speaking for myself, that doesn’t interest me at all. As you said, March Madness is March Madness and that’s what makes it must see tv for the sports fan. What’s coming down the road for football, isn’t going to be IMHO.
But in your previous post, in specific reference to what's great about March Madness you seemingly suggest that Super Conferences are going to compromise that by "dominating college sports", it also should probably be mentioned that 14 of the last 15 MBB champions have come from outside the SEC or B1G, but I digress.
In terms of football, I'm not sure Super Conferences will exacerbate the status quo of the SEC's dominance, but the expanded format of the CFP will give a wider opportunity at minimum.

Are you surprised? I'd say continuing to engage him is a little foolish just to be honest...

Exactly NCAA tournament has more combined bets than the Super Bowl plus any team has a chance look at Fairleigh Dickinson

RE: March Madness (NCAA Tournament)
SEC is having a good showing so far, Tennessee beat Duke
and Arkansas upsets #1 Kansas
If Kentucky downs Kansas State that will also add to their resume
Bracket still in good shape, I had Purdue losing in the sweet 16
Houston and Alabama still in the mix

RE: March Madness (NCAA Tournament)
Now that UConn has left the AAC and rejoin the Big East, and Creighton join the Big East also you could say 3 of 8 are from Mid-Major Conferences
Gonzaga
FAU
San Diego State
UConn
Creighton
Texas
Miami
Kansas State
That’s an impressive showing from the Mid-Major conferences
CUSA - FAU
MWC - San Diego State
WCC - Gonzaga

Mid Major conferences? Either you are going along with the media labels or don't know what you are talking about.

Call it whatever you want, there is a line of demarcation, though the MWC is probably closer to the Big East than they are to CUSA, but I digress.
Five of eight are from outside the P5 and with Miami playing Texas, no more than half of the FF will be from P5 and FAU can make it just one of four.

The media considers basketball as P6 or six power leagues that includes the Big East.
Even during the first weekend of games, CBS was running a graphic about the “P6’s” record against “mid-majors”.

March Madness (NCAA Tournament)
Really good first half. I said after the Tennessee game they would need two good halves unlike the last game. Need a 2nd half like this minus so many turnovers to pull it out
Go Owls!!!
