Link was always a very good recruiter in his own right, and he recruited very well at UNCG without Wallace.

Following an extensive national search, University of Memphis Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Laird Veatch has named Matt Riser head baseball coach. Riser becomes the 18th head coach in program history.

Riser comes to the Tigers after 10 seasons as head coach at Southeastern Louisiana, where he helped guide the Lions to four NCAA Tournament berths and three Southland Conference titles. He was also recently recognized by Baseball America as one of the nation's top coaches under the age of 40.

That is a solid hire. Hopefully he can recruit some pitchers. That has been the most glaring weakness of Memphis in the AAC. Obviously Kerrick had begun to fix that.

ECU how has 4 active players in MLB. P-Shawn Armstrong TB, P-Jeff Hoffman Phil, OF-Alec Burleson Stl, and P-Gavin Williams CLeveland. With about 3 to 4 others that could pop in the league at any time.
