Per McMurphy and Dellenger, the GOR is the obstacle and the lawyers apparently cannot find a way out of it despite “several months” of effort. Most lawyers state the GOR is airtight.

clt says the UNC CHeat attorneys will find a way. they said that because fake classes in the largest academic fraud in ncaa's history were available to all students there was no issue.
Well I guess that's the end of the AAC. ECU, USF, Memphis, Temple, and Navy would definitely get spots in the ACC now. After that happens the SBC would definitely be better than the AAC.

Print this and tape it to the mirror. "There is no way in hell the ACC will EVER invite ECU."
The remaining schools would just quit playing football instead.
That being said, I can see UCONN, Temple, USF getting a look at whatever remains but it would be what, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, and UL? (Duke would just drop football as opposed to being in a lesser league than UNC@Chap) Nothing about that screams "power".
I do think it would be hilarious if Cindy got the last laugh on UL....

Na. I’d rather be in same conference with Louisville and Memphis.
My guess and what I’m hoping for is if the remaining top brands (ACC 7 and Oregon/Washington bolt to SEC/Big 10 then the Big 12 goes to 20 with Arizona, Arizona St., Colorado, and one of Utah/SDSU and then depending on who remains in the ACC but my dream would be Louisville, Pitt, Miami FL, and Virginia Tech.

The crazy thing is that the GOR is the savior of half those teams. Clemson and FSU are getting SEC invites, a couple might get a Big 12 lifeboat, and the rest are going to have to backfill with us. If I'm Virginia Tech, I'm hoping that GOR is airtight.

LOL, that has always been true but that was the ACC with UNC/NCSt. If those 7 teams leave all bets are off. The remaining teams will not leave money on the table by quitting football. Too much money involved even wo those teams. They will add teams and keep the ACC name going just like the B12 has done and other conferences. ECU would be a good candidate to go anywhere if that blows up
