FAU's stadium is essentially a scaled down UCF stadium.
Nothing special.

Let them have their fun, they are jealous at the 340 million OCS that neither has but must come into the thread to make themselves feel better.
I will say that at least the FAU reply was copied on this thread from Twitter by a ucf fan.
As I keep saying the need for any fan of another school to go into a positive thread about another school and try to derail or put it down, just shows their insecurity.

RE: USF OCS Financials Update
Love what USF has just done.
Will have a stadium to mess around with for yrs to come in the bustling Tampa area. Not just for football either.
But....as far as football, it is the perfect size for this conf. No longer will 25K seem like a drop in the bucket in a giant stadium. Frankly, I think they will fill that joint up for yrs for football. Unless, of course, disastrous times. Don't expect them. I expect just the opposite.
I feel for USF because they got screwed in the realignment with UConn and Cin. Those 2 have found nice landing places. Now, USF is taking matters into their own hands and I believe this is their 1st step into heading upwards.
I ALWAYS wish the Bulls well.
I remember when they were ranked #2 in the country.
I hopped on that bandwagon...

They will not. The intrigue with coming to Tampa was not because it was simply a game in Florida, it was because it was a game in Florida in an NFL stadium. If USF continues to agree to 2-1 games with the home being in Ray Jay, I am sure they can continue fielding them. However, using UCF as an example from their AAC days with an OCS, it will be hard attracting 1-1 games with P5 teams higher than the Louisville's, UNC's, NC States of the world. The 2-1 games with the high profile teams like Alabama, Ohio State, Florida will require the NFL stadium. If USF refuses to schedule the 2-1 in Ray Jay, no deal will be made. This is what happened to UCF many times and their schedule ran dry.
Believe UCF got a 2-1 with Florida while in AAC so maybe USF can too and possibly Miami and FSU. Other than that you’re probably right, no more Alabamas or Notre Dames. We’ll probably be looking at NC state and Syracuse type teams.
I do expect USF to be in a P5 within 5 years if they do even a medium amount of winning with the new stadium and AAU status.
The only way you guys get into a p5 is more massive realignment shifts. There’s no way to play yourself in or market yourself in. It’s a myth. The only reason us 4 are going are bc of OUT.

There will continue to be major shifts in conference alignments and how the conferences are structured. It’s been going on since college athletics started and will continue to go on. It can be argued that we are well on the way to there being only two major conference with whoever is left off being considered mid and low majors. Schools that invest will rise to the top and those that don’t will regress down.

I hope USF finances their stadium with current debt to income forecast. It will open the floodgates for others to do the same.

This is not entirely true. There will always be realignment happening. Maybe nothing to the scale of a Rutgers type jump, but there will always be opportunities at a better conference. So in essence, yes, they can play themselves into a better conference. They need to create the best resume and package so they are the best available when realignment happens again......and it WILL happen again. Having winning seasons, get that hype and build a solid fan base, build the stadium.....they already got AAU which in my opinion is a lot harder to achieve than any of the other things.
