Greg McElroy interviews Greg Sankey
Greg Sankey getting some good interview time lately.

Here's another with Greg McElroy on his online show:

Nothing particularly earth-shattering here although there's some interesting thoughts on how the SEC approaches certain things. One of those approaches is that they seem to value rivalries.

Take that for what you will, but if the SEC expands again, it sounds like they will consider the match-ups created rather than just the markets tapped.

Clemson/South Carolina & Florida State/Florida were essentially, though not explicitly promised by Mike Slive with Sankey present.

Virginia/Virginia Tech, North Carolina/N.C. State, and Florida State/Florida/Miami all fit the bill. Is that not the 7?

Kansas/Missouri, or Duke with the two Carolinas is not out of the question for #8. Make Notre Dame as a partial.

SEC takes: the 7 you mention, minus Miami, plus GT & Louisville

Big 10 takes: ND, Miami, (possibly Pitt) [rounds out with West Coast + Kansas)

That’s 10, maybe 11 of 15 ACC Schools—that’s got to be enough to get enough pressure to end the ACC.
