Sounds great, where do we sign? No, seriously…I did see something similar discussed over the winter, not SMU generated, essentially a merger with SMU acting as a ‘bow tie’ for a number of logical reasons. I would think ESPN would be interested if they could add both Central and West Coast time slots to the existing ACC bargain they currently enjoy. As always it would come down to $. But it would be head and shoulders above what the Big 12 is currently trying to swing by enticing the 4 corner schools, at least for football.
