Bloody nipples and naked skating does not equal "the most evil female coach in collegiate history". I'm guessing that you didn't play sports in college, and you probably weren't in a fraternity, either.

Stone - who coached the silver medal-winning USA women's hockey team at the 2014 Sochi Olympics - was never directly implicated but former players said she was aware of what was going on and didn't stop it.

The article makes it look like the head coach arranged it all, then that little blurb hidden in the middle shows that it was actually student-led hazing. Nobody died. Nobody was scarred (physically). However, there was clearly emotional damage, and we can't have that.

There was no benefit from that "workout."

Physical abuse of student-athletes. And 80% dropout rate of hockey players last year.

Depends on the situation, where I’m at in life, and how much they pay me.

Yet another situation where I ask how do so many people let one person get away with so much?

Was there not one girl on that team that would stand up and say they're not doing it and they will go to the administration about it if they try to make her... ???

It's amazing how oblivious some people are to thinking something like that is ok.

Harvard loves to point out splinters in others' eyes but ignored the wooden beam in their own.

Well the article did say some players did complain. But the administration did nothing.

I'm referring to the players being smart enough to know this was not something they had to do. You would have thought most would refuse.

25% dropout rate for all Harvard D1 athletes versus 80% for women’s hockey. Athletes were complaining about the hazing rituals. Someone in senior management will also have to answer for this. It is interesting that a school that doesn’t even provide athletic scholarships is facing this.

My apologies. Missed your point. Yes, I would also think most, but the grooming or whatever still can fool many young adults. Even so, the fact that the coach was stupid enough to think no one would confide in someone to expose these degrading acts is unfathomable.
