ECU <-> Charlotte, is the only conference mate we can drive too. This is abnormal, because generally, it's a Flight. Most teams for football anywhere, your on that plane.

Yes it would solve a lot of issues.
I did see a similar proposal on the realignment board in the days leading up to the drop to 4 PAC teams.

Besides reducing travel it allows Stanford/Cal to be selective on adding elite academic California schools for MBB and all other sports

And keeps the PAC name/history going, not to mention the basketball credits.

Speaking of PAC name, what if the proposal were formalized as:

Aresco and all 14 AAC football schools to the PAC for football only.

In that scenario the AAC would continue to operate but as a non Football league

And the PAC keeps its A5 status

And there’s still room to add a couple plum MWC teams.

Anyway, I like the idea, however they decide to “brand” it.
