Congratulations to Lauren Curran for winning Field Hockey's Player of the Week (for the second week in a row!)!

More congratulations to Lauren Curran because she was named national Player of the Week by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA)!!

Kudos to a trio of Tribe Men's Soccer players for being named All-CAA:
Lucas Caldas made the Second Team!;
Alfredo Bozalongo made the Third Team!;
and Aidan Morrison was named to the All-Rookie Team!

Congratulations to 5 Field Hockey standouts who were named to the All-CAA teams:

Jayden Moon and Pyper Friedman were named to the First Team!

Lauren Curran was named to the Second Team!

Mackinzie Brown and Josie Mae Gruendel were named to the Rookie Team!

Curran's selection to the Second Team (instead of the First Team) really makes me wonder when the selections are voted on. Here is what the Tribe write-up on Curran says:

"She leads the Tribe and ranks among the top five in the CAA with 11 goals and 25 points. In total, she is among the top five in the league in nearly every offensive category - shots, shots on goal, goals, game-winning goals and points. Curran closed out the regular season, winning back-to-back CAA Player of the Week awards and was selected as the NFHCA National Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday. She has scored seven goals in the last four games."

So, that last part about scoring 7 goals in the last four games (and no more than 3 in any one game) makes me wonder if the selectors had already voted more than a week ago. Maybe this will motivate her even more in the CAA tournament!

I agree - I think he was our most impactful defensive player (at least the second half of the season for sure). That could be because Lynn and Pius were being double-teamed and held on every play....but whatever the reason, Jarrell was making a lot of big plays. I hope he comes back for a grad year.

Still blows my mind that he converted from a 210lbs high school QB to a 245lbs all conference LB
