I was excited when I saw this. If he used one of his five official visits on us it means he is seriously considering us. Then I saw the list of thirty other schools who have offered.

RE: '24 Men's Hoops Recruiting
Averaged eighteen ppg in his junior season.
Most of the pieces I found on him described him as a PG and several complimented him on his defense and passing.
He listed his final three in mid August but said he would hold off his commitment announcement until his sister's birthday on September 14th. Between those two dates our staff convinced him to take a visit and he fell in love. Glad his sister's bday wasn't in late August

One other thought on Ryan. His "final three" choices were interesting. With the offers he had his three might have been Temple, Hofstra and Towson. Did he pick schools where he could expect more playing time right away? And wouldn't NU, a school that hasn't had a PG in two years, be in that same category?

From Justin Diament…
In the midst of portal season, NU MBB has made their first known class of 2026 offer to Josh Pratt of Aliquippa HS (PA)
The 6’1” Pratt recently scored 36 points in the state champ game as a soph
His brother LA Pratt is in the transfer portal right now & has been contacted by NU

Portal commit: 6' 9" Sam Thomson grad transfer from Colgate. On a team that was deep and had some good bigs he earned fifteen minutes per game. He had a nice NCAA opening round game against Baylor....eleven points on five for six shooting.

I saw this last night but didn’t post. I’m not impressed. Basically we got the 7th or 8th man off a Colgate team in the Patriot League.

Agreed. His regular season numbers translate to him being a depth guy for us.

2024 SG Mason Elbiek out of @ReasonprepBB HS (MA) will take an unofficial visit to Northeastern next week, I’m told.
He's been offered by Bryant already.

Odd. NERR has the spelling of his last name as Ebik. They had some nice things to say about him when he was a soph at the Fenway School in 2020 but nothing since then and he's not on their list of the top 36 Mass players.

Color me not impressed…
I watched one of his games. He's not going to be able to contribute right away. He's listed as a power forward but he plays like a five. I'm not sure if he can rebound in our league until he puts on some muscle. On the other hand, you can learn a lot from the teams message board when a player leaves and the reaction their board was, "This really sucks" so maybe there's some potential here.
