RICO is normally used by prosecutors to conflate and inflate charges. If we can get this up to a RICO charge, then we have some serious leverage.

I've read as much as I could stand, and read analyses of the rest. We shall see what of its allegations prove up in court.

What I believe is that after the patRIOT act and its progeny, law enforcement has gotten an inflated view of its own importance. I told all my conservative friends back then that this was going to happen, but they persisted in saying, "If you've done nothing worng, you have nothing to worry about." The law enforcement bureaucrats' priorities are in order, my career, my agency, and doing my job. Anyone who threatens that is going to be a target for KGB/Gestapo "show me the man and I'll find you a crime" prosecution. Donald Trump clearly threatened it and has clearly drawn their wrath.

I don't know how much to believe of what's in any of the indictments. They may raise valid issues, or they may all be made up. I don't trust the bureaucrats enough to believe that it's not the latter.
