Approximately 10K Haitian refugees have settled into Springfield, Ohio in the past year, stressing out the social services of a comity of approximately 55k people. Last week one of the refugees crashed into a school bus killing an elementary student. Of course the driver did not have a license or auto insurance.

Republicans need to keep pointing this stuff out. Happens far too often.

According to someone I know in Springfield, another group of 5-10k are coming. The refugees leave Haiti and spend a year in Chile so they can get refugee status. This group apparently speak a unique variant of the language so interpreters are difficult to come by. The schools and hospital have had to hire additional staff.

And democrats need to get on that bandwagon right beside the republicans. This should not be a partisan issue.

Are these refugees here illegally? I asked because I didn't see it specifically mentioned in the article. Of course, that doesn't surprise me because it's a newspaper and oftentimes they try to hide certain truths.

Assuming they are considered illegal immigrants, the bolded statement above is just part of the reason illegal immigration is so costly. Another reason is the fact that schools take in illegal students. Not to mention the crime committed and the additional resources need in policing, courts, prisons, etc.
