I will actually watch this game just to see exactly why Alabama would ever schedule a game at USF. It's sort of hilarious to me that Alabama refused to play true road games for so long so they essentially shifted and said yeah, we will go to Tampa.

MY LINE: Memphis 27-18 Memphis has looked good against some weak competition and Navy got destroyed by a good team and blew out a poor team--the truth lies in the middle. I hesitated pushing Memphis into the 30s because Navy is usually a tough out.

Friday 9/15

MY LINE: UTSA 27-23 UTSA has looked so so, Army hasn't looked bad, but had a tight game with FBS competition. I'm giving UTSA the narrow home win here. I will not be surprised if they lose as of right now, a blowout either way would surprise me.

MY LINE: App State 33-27 This game has bad vibes all the way around. Does App State have a crash after losing to UNC? Does ECU look like *** on offense for 3 games in a row? How does ECU come out looking after the way the home game versus Marshall ended? ECU's blowout losses don't let me read a whole lot into this game, considering its an in-state rival. That said, I can't, in good faith to making a prediction, give ECU the nod here, till they show me they can score consistently.

REALITY SAID: App St 43-28 Coach Houston needs to figure out these 2nd half shellackings. Pirate offense did look better under Flinn, but that isn't saying much...but it actually is. We get two defensive scores and still get blown out. This game gave some answers but also opens up more questions.
