to me it's kinda like St Mary's...that COULD be a tough place to play if they put 3,600-4k in there for every game.

It seats 2,650.

https://goutsa.com/news/2007/06/01/utsa-...facilities

Well then putting 3600-4k in there would definitely make it a tough place to play since you would have have to avoid the fans sitting on the court.

This is Year 5 with Ron Hunter. If Tulane is #102 at the end of March, then the season will have been a failure, and we really need to ask some hard questions about what direction the program is going.

But with that said, I’m hopeful that Tulane will be significantly better than that. We’ll see.

Does Tulane really have top 50 facilities and resources?

Decent arena. We get 200 of our fans in there every year. The rebounders require decent seats with backs. Pull out bleachers won't cut it. Even in San Antonio !!
Besides, Tulane has a good coach and a good team. They care about their basketball. 07-coffee3

Yea, that's nice... until you get fired because you can't win there. He won an NCAA tourney game in Atlanta...looking like garbage in New Orleans.

He's already made $2m more at Tulane than he would've made at GSU. How many people make $2m in their life?

He's loving life. He's beating up on terrible schools to pad his win column, collecting checks, and if he can make an NCAA tourney at Tulane (he's not far off), he'll probably double his salary again.

I don't think I've ever seen a basketball arena with a video board directly behind one of the baskets before. How is that allowed? Seems like it would be a massive distraction to those shooting free throws.

I have tried to be nothing but nice to our newcomers, but I'm sorry, that gym is embarrassing.

The performance achieved by their coach is almost miraculous given the handicaps. He will be a a multi-millionaire after he moves next season and he deserves it.

if Temple and Tulsa were both top-100 I'd feel a lot better about AAC basketball.

I think we may be slightly better than #199, but how much is anyone's guess....

They need to borrow one of SMU's billionaires to build a decent basketball arena.

Negative comments about FAU's and other former CUSA6's facilities on this Forum is now against board policy. It is considered illegitimate and subject to movement to Smack as witnessed by a movement of my poll asking "Which BB arena is worse - UTSA or FAU".

I will do my best to comply.

It's ok, FAU's in Boca Raton. Money will not be a problem. And, finally, Boca knows that they are a home to a basketball program.
