I would be interested to know if we reached out to Smithfield to be included in this promotion. It's a great promo for Smithfield because it can create a slang term for missed free throws that certainly can't hurt Smithfield's business. And they are a heck of a lot closer to us than VT and UVA.

Anyone have any intel on this?

I was watching that game last night. Loudest cheer all night was when the Miami guy missed two free throws. BACON!

Interesting stuff from that game. UVA sure seems to be rounding into form. Guess the real truth will be when they play UNC or Duke.

Also, did I hear the announcers correct in that our old nemesis Jim Larranaga is now the longest tenured coach in D-1? Last night not withstanding, the guy is most likely headed for the hall of fame. We used to hate him but I have a lot of respect for his record. No doubt he knows what he’s doing.

Yep. Without fail Bennett seems to get his guys into shape come conference time. They were dialed in last night and Miami looked completely lost. At one timeout Larranaga was sitting all by himself on the bench just befuddled at what to try.

Wish we would see the same type of in season development that UVA enjoys each year.
