Did UNCC quietly make it to the Ivy League or something? The fact that you keep attempting to do the academics berating thing is confusing.

In our case we need to not lose those games. Georgia Southern and Louisiana shouldn't be 2 losses for UAB. We have ULM and UConn next year, UConn and Akron the next, and ULM and Louisiana the year after. Hopefully we do better.
I also wish we'd get away from the absolutely unwinnable SEC game, but that doesn't appear to be changing any time soon.
Georgia Southern and Louisiana shouldn't be losses? You know those two programs have more of a winning history than UAB, right?
This has nothing to do with you, you can go find somewhere else to discuss.

Purple UConn is an embarrassment to the league, UConn would be proud of us this year.
Perhaps it might be best to leave sleeping "midgets", I mean giants, lie. The AAC still has at least 2 games left against UConn.

If I wanted to talk to a Troy fan about sun belt schools, I would go over to that board. I’m on the AAC board discussing what we expect in the AAC and it has nothing to do with Troy.

I don't think that's the issue. I think the issue is, expecting the teams that were left behind to help the new teams develop.
Are we supposed to be their Ferry Godmothers? Where are our Ferry Godmothers?
It's every man for themselves. No free lunches.
You make it or you don't make it. That's the hard truth.
What do we do in the interim? We became a weaker conference. How do we convince recruits to come play with us against weaker competition?
I laugh at people laughing at the AAC3 who are 0-6 in the B12. That's not good for any of us wanting to move up in the world.
We should be doing the opposite. We should be praying they win every conference game to prove to everyone all of us can compete at the next level.
People are so short sighted, they can't see past the end of their noses.

Want to know what else is short sighted? Discounting the recent additions from the CUSA because they aren't dominating the conference straight out of the gate. The challenges that the teams that left for the B12 are facing are the same challenges our noobs are facing. It takes time to capitalize on the increased revenue, exposure, and prestige of the new conferences, hence why all of the noobs (B12 and AAC) are currently struggling.
We should be praying that our noobs as well as the B12 noobs ultimately do well. Both scenarios will shed a positive light on the AAC, and in the event none of us are called up any time soon, we need as much prestige and reputation as we can get.

Yeah, I think the sample size is still kind of small. The C-USA6 are currently 1-3 against the legacy members, but here is still a lot of football to play. It's a down year for the AAC, but it's not just the new additions bring the conference down.

At least most of the AAC won't have to worry about losing coaches to P5 teams.

Of course we all want the former CUSA6 schools to do well because it is in the Tiger’s best interest. However, there is no evidence yet they will improve anytime soon (in fact they regressed as a group this year).
Tiger fans have returned to the days when most conference wins do little to boost our profile, but a loss has deleterious and potentially catastrophic impact. We must face the desponding situation - we are on our own.

Beating other AAC schools is not the goal. Elevation of the conference requires wins over schools from other conferences and in particular G-5’s.

Patience, my friend. They just got in the conference. They have yet to have the opportunity to utilize the exposure, revenue, etc. It's always tough moving up, and things take time. Did you forget how we did when we were invited to the Big East/AAC?
2013 3-9 ( 1-7 [T-9th])
Let's try to not be so short sighted. We have enough doom and gloom on the Dockery-Finch board.
