Temple seemed to find some rhythm on offense against Tulsa. Unfortunately, their secondary and D-Line continued to struggle as Tulsa hung 48 on them. Tulsa's offense isn't exactly potent this year with their highest score total (prior to their Temple game) being 22 against Northern Illinois in Week 4.

Temple's rushing attack was non-existent. Temple had 44 rushing yards on 21 carries vs Tulsa's 289 yards on 53 carries. (Interested for a team whose head coach made a living on coaching running backs)

Temple's passing game had a better night with 269 yards in the air. Temple's QB, EJ Warner, had 2 TD's and 1 INT. QBR of 39.5 (ouch)

Overall, it was a rough night for Temple as they went into halftime with only 3 points. The majority of their points scored came in the third quarter.

Fun Fact: Temple chose the Owl as their mascot in the 1880's. At the time the school served primarily lower income individuals and offered a great deal of night classes.

We're coming off a bye week so no stats or breakdown of a week 5 game. (TBH I just don't wanna break down that ass whooping we were so kindly gifted in Knoxville.)

Against Tennessee, we struggled mightily and looked like a cupcake team SEC teams are accustomed to playing.

I'm not happy with our DC and will be livid if Temple scores at will similar to Tennessee and Army.

ELM struggled mightily in Knoxville. McCown looked decent for two drives before showing his youth. Hard to say who the QB of the future will be but I'm leaning a bit towards the son of the NFL journeyman. (He slides!)

According to Traylor, Harris and JT Clark will be playing this week at Temple. I'm hoping to see some improvement but I'm not holding my breath as far as the defense is concerned. I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to our OC since he's been without key pieces and it being his first year.

Thoughts on this game?

Harris and JT Clark are game time decisions. I pray this isn't the game Temple figures out how to play football.

Temple usually performs well for its homecoming game. This could be a tight one. Then again, I thought we could play close with Tulsa. That turned out to be a laugher.

What’s with these unsportsmanlike penalties? Are you not allowed to spin or spike a ball in the AAC after a TD?

Sure would have been nice for UTSA to have this kind of offensive output during the OOC part of their schedule.

Wow, just amazing. 3 game parlay, Navy FTW, TXState FTW and the 14 point spread in our game and Temple decides to go for the absolute most ridiculous 2 point conversion and loses by 15. It’s a conspiracy!! Lol
