Hardly. Was quite the comeback by me from the opening handful of games despite that it will end how it started with a massive fall at the end. But Stony Brook isnt beating Duquesne.

I would say W&M and Monmouth were the big positives from the first week. Both look much improved. Delaware would get an honorable mention as they look ok as well. We definitely need more from the top teams (CofC, Drexel, Hofstra) with their opportunities.

The remainder of the non-conference games can be broken down to two more rounds for a total of four. I’ll post the others soon, and hopefully everyone can find time over the busy holidays to post picks.

Conference games will be a separate contest. Should be faster and easier to pick since we’re only dealing with the same 14 teams, instead of all the OOC opponents. I’m trying to decide on a structure that has a happy spot of fun, convenience, and moderation. There are 9 weeks (rounds). I think picking every single game might become a chore. I’d like some feedback on the following ideas…

Format #1 - 7 Thursday games first 5 weeks, all 14 games (Thur-Mon) last 4 weeks

Format #2 - alternate 7 (Thur) and 14 games (Thur-Mon) first 7 weeks, 14 games last 2 weeks

My first thought was to do 7 Thur games each week except Weeks 4 and 9 (all 14), but wondered if that would be enough.

Something else? Will appreciate some input!

(Also, I hate to flood the forum with a whole bunch of pick’em threads. I think we can do the conference games in one mega thread - maybe.)

You're not flooding it. It was put in to be closer to the old forum the conference used that many liked but have never adapted well here because everyone stays on their own boards. 1 mega in conference thread is fine. Hopefully more folks check it out. I do think it would be more visible to people if the general board was its own "team" thread at the top before all of the team boards, with so many teams it gets lost at the bottom

Agree, dan10, that some might be missing it here at the bottom. Also, picking these OOC games is pretty hardcore -I’m impressed with how well we all did in Round 1. The league games might pull in others.

Regarding the Jan/Feb conf games, I tried to place confidence values 1-14 on the 14 games in Week 2 to see how do-able it was, and it quickly crossed the line between fun and work. If we do all 14 games in a week, I think it might be better to do Thur values 1-7 and Sat-Mon values 1-7. Is that ok? Also leaning toward alternating 7 one week, 14 the next. Thoughts?

I would guess most are down for whatever, its meant to be fun. Some will participate no matter how its done
