The real question is...Is Memphis willing to take a HARD look in the mirror to determine why they got themselves left behind?

RE: Does the AAC Commissioner have room for improvement?
I wish the Commissioner would provide real reasons for decisions.

For example; instead of spouting nonsense like "We receive great support from the arena and the Fort Worth community (for the AAC Conference BB Tourney" and "We expect terrific attendance in the years to come", he should be straight with fans. Just tell us the real reason....

Feel free to derive your own poll.

Earlier, you advised Memphis to "just go to C-USA that would be better for the rest of us." However, you have not enlightened us on the financial, exposure, and performance advantages to the AAC on such a move.

I welcome an explanation. Thank you.

RE: Does the AAC Commissioner have room for improvement?
I think he's done as much as he can. He can't force teams to join the conference and has a media deal that's the best among the G5. If he gets Army and a quality Olympic Sports partner (assuming he wants to do that), that's pretty damn good job imo.

The only negative I'd say is I'm surprised he went to 14 with the last round of expansion. I thought 12 would be good enough.

He’s a perfect choice for ESPN to want in that job.

The real reason is that he can sleep in his own bed at night during the tournament.

04-cheers The simple answers are usually the right ones.

Like any conference commissioner he answers to his employers. That would be the University Presidents and their proxies, the Athletic Directors.

Seems a majority are satisfied with his efforts, and any that aren't don't feel the need to take it to the public arena for discussion.

There is always room for improvement. For one, I understand we needed to add teams, but why so many? It seemed a bit heavy-handed. At the very least, he's not Kliavkoff.

The thought crossed my mind. It is not an adequate reason.

That's how I feel. Everyone can improve but I think he's been pretty solid to say the least so far

It was simple ESPN wanted more inventory than 3 would bring. They wanted quantity to make up for quality.

Poor decision if that was indeed the rationale.

Everyone has room for improvement.

A majority of voters at this writing believe Aresco has reached perfection with no improvement possible.
