FAU holds the all time record 3-0. The last meeting was in 2020 (covid season) in Boca Raton with FAU winning 24-3. Almost feels like a passing of the torch, FAU winning back to back CUSA Championships and then UTSA doing the same a year after this game. Teams have not played each other during this monster three year stretch UTSA has had under Coach Traylor.

Huge game. The conference championship will come down to Tulane vs any of 4 teams (UTSA and FAU included). Memphis is still looming and SMU is likely going 6-0 in conference before playing Memphis. Both FAU and UTSA play Tulane towards the end of the season. Loser of this game might be knocked out of the championship race as a 6-2 conference record this year won't get it done.

Side note: FAU fans on this forum are awesome. Been really fun cheering on the Final Four appearance and last week's curb stomping to USF from a distance

It's moved to UTSA -3 since. I think it's a stayaway.

Slight correction. Were 2017 and 2019 champs in cusa. Uab in the middle of that won it

Should be a good game. Utsa has been tough the last 2 years. Would have killed us had we played. This will be another game to see how the rebuild is going

UTSA has never beaten FAU. The winner of this game will be solidly in the top 4 of the conference standings and will have legitimate conference title aspirations. Big game, IMO.

I think we were somewhat lucky not to play UTSA during the non-COVID Taggart years.

We played in 2020 and lost 24-3 in Boca Raton. But that was a covid year.

This should be an entertaining game. FAU is surging, and UTSA is recovering.

Awesome game with a beautiful weather in Boca Raton.
I expect a nice turnout and a good battle on the field.
I also think FAU was lucky not to face UTSA these past years but I still think UTSA is a great team that could easily walk way with the win on saturday.

Back at ya! I don't know any FAU fans that have any issue with UTSA. I have enjoyed watching Frank Harris play the previous 2 years, electric. That said I hope we put 50 on you Saturday.

If we lose it's UTSA’s BB's fault.

You’re assuming the loser of this game also loses to Tulane. A one-loss team may very well miss the championship game. If UTSA and Tulane go undefeated (in conference) until the last week, and SMU goes undefeated, the one-loss loser of UTSA/Tulane is left out. Of if the lose of FAU/UTSA beats Tulane, and the winner loses to Tulane, all 3 could have just one loss but two get left out if SMU goes undefeated (or loses only to Memphis and all five teams have just one loss, then it’s a mess). So agree a 6-2 team is likely out, but not that this is an elimination game for UTSA and FAU.
