Not only our first time playing each other, but this will be the first time UTSA host's a legacy AAC school as a new member.

Sooooo, I'm sorry Pirates. This matchup would have been so fun if it happened a year earlier. I had this game circled ever since it was confirmed earlier this year. Instead, we're catching y'all during an all time low stretch for the program.

Once again I think the defense plays well enough for us to win the game, but the offense pulls an Amber Heard and completely ***** the bed. Houston once again blames execution and not his outdated scheme. Fans rage online.

I think this game will be closer than expected. I haven't watched ECU much this year but watching them in the past, they were a very physical team that I think will give UTSA problems.

It will be close until our defense gets worn out from all the 3 and outs from the inept offense.

We are now the 2nd worst team in FBS with only Sam Houston State who is transitioning beneath us.

That's tough. I remember our 2014 season where the offense was inept (ok, 2017 - 2019 too), ruining a potential run at a first bowl game.

Should we expect any ECU supporters at the game of Saturday? If you know any who are going, let them know we have a solid and welcoming tailgating scene.

Unless the Charlotte loss is the one that finally causes the team to quit (one thing I'll give MH credit for is he's managed to keep the defense fighting and playing hard despite a hopeless offense) I expect this to be close for a while. I'll predict something like 10-7 or 14-10 UTSA going into the 4th quarter and then our defense finally tires and breaks and you guys get the late cover winning something like 31-10. ECU's defense if they still have the heart and fight left is good, IMO better than the stats say due to basically every game playing out the way I just laid out, but they aren't good enough to actually carry ECU to a win in any FBS game. I do seriously worry we are about at the time where Houston and company can't get the defense to keep fighting what they know is a hopeless battle, but then again since I now think Houston has to be fired to start the turnaround needed it might be better long term if he's lost them.

If we were even remotely decent I would think you'd see a larger number of ECU fans there than you'd expect from a team this far away, but currently I can't see anyone but families and any local alumni coming. This is one of the road games I want to go to in the future and combine it with a trip to SA, but if you gave me a free trip and free tickets and all I had to do was sit through this game I'd tell you to go F yourself.

The worst part is then on Sundays I have to watch the Panthers. At least they didn't lose to Bye yesterday.

I'm sure some will be there, they always showed up in a few clusters at Houston, Rice UTEP and SMU. But not as many as you'd see if we were not a **** show.

I'm glad I don't have a free trip to offer 03-rotfl

If you did I'd ask for you to send me the cash so I can book the flights on my own and get the rewards, and instead use the money on something worthwhile, like strippers/drugs/booze to forget there was a game going on this weekend.

A few years back an East Carolina quarterback hit his hand with a hammer so he would not have to lose a year playing for East Carolina. As fantastic as it sounds an absolutely true story.
