Maybe schools are only allowed a certain number of exhibitions.

Another former D1 school as well beating a D1 school.

Now they count, and the first loss I’ve seen today is Mercer losing to D2 Clark Atlanta 71-64.

The other I saw was NAIA University of Mobile beating South Alabama 83-74.

There was a news article last year that the SWAC was interested in adding Clark Atlanta about them joining the SWAC. They were eyeing Tennessee State at the same time. Imagine Clark Atlanta and Tuskegee moving up to join the SWAC. They could go to 16 if Langston moves up and Albany State. Clark Atlanta and Albany State would add more to the east for the SWAC. I have not heard anymore. If the SWAC did invite Clark Atlanta to join them in 23/24 season? It would be big news for a SWAC team beating a team that is much stronger than them.

They used to be the Diablos with a very memorable logo.

Pace is a very large private school in New York. They would make a good D1 move up call.

Based on what? General apathy of the student population. There is absolutely no interest in sports on campus.

Please, let’s stick to the scores and discussion of upsets by non D1 teams. It’s not another potential D1 move up discussion. Plenty of those already exist.

I think a good number of the lower level upsets have already happened. Seems like there are more some years, but probably just my memory playing tricks. These types of games are actually pretty low in numbers.

But there are still more chances coming up. Particularly around the Christmas/New Years break. I’m hoping for a few more still.

Post em if so them though. I definitely don’t catch them all.

I think they are going to be becoming more common because of the transfer portal and reduced restrictions on transfers. The big programs can't lock in their bench players anymore. So more of them will transfer to programs where they get more playing time, playing time will sharpen their skills, and we will start to see transfers playing for lower level teams beating D1 programs they transferred from.

You may be right. There’s probably a stat on it being tracked somewhere.

One of the biggest of all time has to be NCCAA Bethesda coming in 2-10 and beating Cal State Northridge in 2021.
