RE: Tulane Ahead of Air Force in First CFP
The final margin-of-victory (Army by 20) was 38.5 points away from the pre-game point-spread (Air Force -18.5).

It’s very rare to see the spread be that far off.

Your basketball is good, especially if its cheating as nearly every good run you have ever had comes with an *. You sit in the heart of SEC country and are third or maybe fourth choice in your own region. Your market is barely top 50.

Cute coming from the bottom of the conference in both sports that matter.

Its you with out the drama and history of sanctions. Thats why it and any other school will get the look before memphis and that won't change unless you go a decade or two off the radar of the NCAA, get on a UCF run of success, or both.

This is comedy gold and delusion of the highest order. Tulsa is #195 in USNWR and Memphis is #269. Sure, you've got an edge on a public university that serves an underprivileged population, but to pretend you're "good in academics" is a stretch. Are you selective in enrollment? A 69% acceptance rate would prove otherwise. Are you an AAU member or do you even have R1 classification? No. What's the ACT range? 21-30. Last I checked, 21 isn't selective. Let's take a gander at a conference mate that's actually selective, like Rice: acceptance 9%, ACT 34-36. Keep coping.

We will never not be private or "small" school. So the positive is your position can change, but if it doesn't Memphis is where it will be, just outside.

Tulsa is trending downward with a shrinking enrollment too. If you weren't in the AAC, who would want you? Reality.

I'm sorry, did an accurate portrayal of your school and the view point that is widely shared about it trigger you?

If you want me to go down the list of things Memphis has sucked at as bad or worse than Tulsa, we'll be here a while. You are barely ranked ahead of the CUSA-6 you love to belittle in total AAC championships and you have a decade head start.

You realize that your reply to a paragraph about Tulane is arguing about Tulsa's supperior academics, which basically shows you just how wide that gap is between USNWR #'s. Also its so cute when you try to bust out metrics with no context or to pass off some obscure ranking system that shows Memphis is a "good academic" school. Nothing wrong with serving your purpose, but then to pretend to be something you aren't just makes it all hollow.

*Sigh our enrollment isn't shrinking, nor are we trending down. I know those grapes you can't reach are sour, but I quite literally wrote Tulsa's actual issues with going up to higher conference in my paragraph, then reminded you that your issues can change, ours will not.

If Penny will quit walking that cheating line (hard to break an engrained Memphis habit) or you guys get on a great football run (again hard to break an engrained Memphis habit) you will probably get a call. You aren't going to become an academic powerhouse, you aren't going to become your regions first choice. The rest you can change and your in city support is strong enough that secondary fans are nice but not required for strong support and programs.

I don't care if your coach cheats
I just want Temple, Tulsa, and WSU to return to form for the sake of the AAC and themselves.

We know and you don't care that every coach you have had since the 80s has cheated. This is why no power conference wants Memphis

we don't care, that's correct. That said, Larry Finch (Memphis' winningest coach) coached at Memphis as HC from 87-97 and he was no cheater. Goody-two-shoes Pastner was above reproach while here as well.
