Haha! I just got banned from the FB unofficial Sun Belt group (for a one word response). The admin was so tired of JMU posts regarding bowls/ waivers/transitions that he put a stop to future posts on those subjects. He's kind of a tightly wound, pseudo preacher guy- really not suited to mod/admin.

A JMU fan had rightly spoke out that there were as many/ or more people speaking out against JMU as there were in support. Yet somehow those people were not addressed directly. I commented in support with the word, "Yup".

Anyway, never been banned from any group before. I feel so dirty. Now I know what it's like to be "Razor".

I too got banned. The amount of unintelligent, sports illiterate, condescending people in that group made me sick.

Dislike FB in general, and not active there.

For those that are, why not just form a splinter group? If it's unofficial, shouldn't be any monopoly on that.

There are already 3 SBC groups in addition to the official Sun Belt Conference page.

She became big solely because she lives in the Dallas area. Someone else created JMU nation to organize our first frisco trip and she took the reins as a local. The rest is history

Well with the following she has in the group, it’s honestly shocking everyone I’ve met think she’s a biatch. So again, why is she so admired on FB but hated by everyone else.

No skin in the game (tho I did work with her and found her pleasant)...my point is "rules for thee not for me" isn't good for forums

It's like the conference board here, non-JMU fans start threads about JMU and they all chime in how sick they are of us fans whining about the waiver/ban. It's comical, they do more talking about it then we do and when you actually do respond to set the record straight to the uninformed it gets worse. We have a so called dog in this race so we should be biased, but it's so funny exposing the others including those that would cut the nose off to spite their faces. The logic of "we don't care about putting SBC on the map with the big boys, we don't care about $4,000,000.00, we don't care that you beat us head to head (even in our house), we just want to fraudulently claim to be victors" despite an inferior record.

From what I've read, if you even think about JMU, he'll ban you. He's alienating one of the most engaged sports fan bases in the conference.
He is aware we are part of the Sun Belt, right?
A group lives and dies by its moderator. Thankfully we have a great group of mods here (*wink wink, I'll be expecting my endorsement check by the end of the week).
I tend to stay away from those groups as generally those people are far less knowledgeable than the fans on the forums. I am a member of a few JMU ones, but rarely do I engage.... most of the time it's not worth it.
It has given the opportunity for other Sun Belt groups to increase their members. It seems like at least one of them seems to have a much less tyrannical mod.
As for Gary D (the D is for douche), I hope we continue to take up lots of real estate in his head. He's clearly tired of hearing about us, and we've only just begun.
