The starting five for TCU are all transfers.Only team in the NCAA that has this. Hope Edmonds can figure out the best rotation. We did not look good. I thought the UAB transfer was a good 3 point shooter? She have any points at all?

Klaczek had a good exhibition game but has been horrible the 3 games since. Only 1-11 from the field.

Just to confirm, your final today was 42-67. That’s from two independent and reliable sources.

I’ve no time for those trying to gloss this over and pretend that the 25 point loss was “only” by 22.

Haley Cavinder is committed to TCU for her fifth year of basketball next season. Has TCU now started paying more in NIL money thanMiami?

TCU forfeits next two games after I guess getting down to just six scholarship players after a rash of injuries. They did play 10 players in their most recent game (a loss at UH). I wonder if the players have to forfeit their NIL salary if they get hurt?

In any regard, it has created the odd result of TCU now being 14-4 overall, but 1-6 in the Big 12 (the two forfeits are reflected in the conference standings but not the overall standings for some reason).

Weren't we down to 6 players two years ago? Or maybe it was 7?

7 for most of the year after Stover and Crossthwaite got hurt. Eight if you count McCurry but she didn’t play much. Two walk-ons helped us get through practices. Luckily no one else got hurt as the season went on, but basically it was Jackson, Fisher, Gooden, Maya and Austin, with Bellamy and Swayze on the bench. We didn’t forfeit any games, but we did cancel two due to Covid.

That was Edmonds first year after Langley left for Washington. We still managed to finish 14-13, which is impressive considering we had one real guard, a few 2/3 types, and Fisher and Bellamy inside.

Haley Cavinder is dating a Cowboys TE now, so the transfer makes sense now in that context.
