3. Your coach will leave for a school not considered top tier (eg Houston). See #2.

4. An older coach on the up rise will not retire at your school because he can retire anywhere. See #2.

5. Only a handful of schools are protected from coaching raids. None of those schools are AAC members.

Will shere khan continue to root for Tulane or will he bolt for greener pastures now that Fritz is gone?

I think all Tulane fans thought WF would only leave for jobs in Kansas/Missouri cause that's where he spent a big portion of his life. It's funny that we all overlooked his connection to Houston.

He spent something like 13-15 years in the Houston area. His kids were born there and live there.

I think he was quite earnest about staying at Tulane except for a super big time P5 offer or a P5 job in KS/MO/IW/Houston. Can't blame him for taking the Houston gig, if the reports were true Tulane was willing to match his Houston salary. But the thing Tulane can't match is being a 20 minute car ride from his kids.

The Calipari experience made me cynical about coach’s pronouncements about staying. Sadly, the vast majority of the time my cynicism is validated.

It is a good sign Tulane marshaled the resources to match Houston. It demonstrates commitment transcending a coach.

Nah, his loyalty to Tulane is not tied to Fritz. It's a cute blonde.

Heard a fun name earlier, but I don't think it's true.

What I've also heard though is that their target is NOT who you'd expect.

No. That wouldn't be in Tulane's MO.
