The Spiders were swept by Niagara at home this opening weekend, losing all 4 games. Niagara is projected at mid range team in the MAAC, one of the bottom five ranked conferences.

Tribe comes in 2-1. Always a big game when it’s Richmond.

Consider it addressed as a season-wide theme. We'll see at the end of the year how successful it was. As a Tribe fan and for the sake of the team, I hope that it works...just saying that I would do some things differently.

Freshman Anthony Greco hits a grand slam in the top of the 7th, as the Tribe take a 7-1 lead at Richmond. Greco with his second homerun in consecutive bats, with 3 hits and 6 rbi's. Beat the s$## out of them, Tribe!

Knowles and Lovasz, both, pitched 3 innings each, with 51 and 50 pitches thrown. No hits given up through first 5 innings.

Tribe win 10-1. Pierce closed out the last 3 innings with only 38 pitches needed. 17 players saw action which is always good for morale.

Great start to the year and always good to beat Richmond.

Keeping the pitchers’ pitch counts down allowed them to ambush a mid-week game with their Friday crew.

Always nice to STOMP the Spiders.

Tribe win their 4th game in a row tonight, taking their weekend opener with UMass Lowell, 11-1. Lowell used 6 pitchers with their starter throwing 94 pitches in just the first 4 innings. UMass Lowell won 3 of 4 at High Point last weekend. High Point won at 2022 National Champ, Ole Miss, tonight.

Tribe used 4 pitchers giving up 2 hits, 0 earned runs, walking 1, and striking out 15. 3 home runs including another from Joe Delassantos who is hitting .550 with 3 HRs, 10 RBIs, and OB% of .640.

Tribe get 5th straight win, 5-4, in ten innings.

As a side note, Stony Brook handed #2 LSU their first loss of the season last night, 5-2, in Baton Rouge.

Campbell, this past week, handed #11 East Carolina their first loss, as well as, took two of three against #22 UC Santa Barbara.
Northeastern dropped out of the polls, but, otherwise, RPI for the CAA is setting up well.

The pitching strategy is interesting, but I think sometimes as a smaller school athletically it makes sense to try something different. The power five schools will pretty much always out recruit us, so it's tough to win if we all use the same strategy.

Joe Delossantos went 2-4 in the Saturday game....and LOWERED his average by 8 percentage points (to .542). Go Joe !!

Tribe is currently tearing up UMass Lowell. Leading 7 - 0 at the top of the 5th.

Final, 10-0. Six in a row.
