What does he know. For starters, the game was at Franklin Field. The Linc wasn't built until 2003. Secondly, we not only booed Santa Claus, but threw snowballs at him. If you're going to castigate, be accurate. Philly deserves at least that.

He's right, you know. I don't blame him. 9-3 and going to a decent bowl game, 10th in a row, I think. With a chance for a 10 win season.

We didn't lose a single game this year where we were favored. That's unusual. Our losses were to 2 ranked teams + SMU. By 7, 10 and 4 points.

He can't do anything about the schedule we have. Out fans are busting him for lack of style points, and because he's not Norvell. Not many other coaches are, it seems.

Our defense is bad, but bends and doesn't break on a regular basis, like today. And our fans forget our defense has been pretty bad over these last 10 winning seasons in a row. Except for one season where Odom was the DC.

9-3 is very good, but Memphis had three crystal clear A+ chances for a top 25 win and crapped the bed in all of them.

For a coach to have LONG term hopes, he needs to steal a few every so often.

He's good but never great. I think his window is next year with SMU in the ACC and Tulane/UTSA losing key pieces.

Patience. How long did it take Fritz to get you where you are? Perspective is helpful.

This is how I feel. I’m glad he won the games he was supposed to win, but he needs to beat a good team. Maybe he’ll get there eventually. Our offense looked better this season IMO.

What did Fritz take over, though? He had to build a proper program and tradition himself.

Silverfield took over a well oiled machine and while he's successfully made sure it didn't break down... ...has he left his stamp on it?

He just needs 2 marquee wins and the conversation ends. He's not far from the goal.

Yet the majority of our online fan base wants to fire him today. What's ironic is the school isn't about to fire him for a 9-3 record and the school's 10th straight bowl game, 4 of those under him.

Yet a lot of our fans have stopped buying tickets and supporting the team, which only hurts the program in the long run.

I agree he can't go on forever without competing better for AAC titles and the NY6/CFP game, but firing a guy who could possibly win 10 games this season is even worse than Houston level insanity.

RS is starting to show some fire he hasn't shown before. But like I've said ad nauseum, like him or hate him, he is where we are right now, and firing him would be stupid. As would running him off.

Silverfield took over a highly depleted roster and then had NIL and the portal rear its head. He also rebooted his staff. Things take time and you're not making the comparison you think you are.

Ceiling is the floor? Please. Most teams would kill to have what you call a floor. Another example of extreme toxicity from those who call themselves fans.

Losing Prieskorn was a big loss. Something that Norvell did not have to deal with. Look at Ole Miss’s running game averages and time of possession in games he played vs when he was hurt. This year we quit going into a shell with a lead. By the ultimate metric we are better. We won more games. The defense only has to a little better to get over the hump. Getting a better coach is a total crap shoot. Most if the time when schools fire winning coach’s backfires on them. His teams never quit. That alone is a good sign. Last year with all those close losses they kept playing hard. Game management is better.

I'm not going to debate you. What we think is irrelevant. The admin and those who pay his salary aren't firing a 9-3 coach.
