Aac gets the independence?
Pretty sure its our year this time. Memphis getting the Liberty bowl is the slightly odd one. I would think SMU would get it based on the travel to make money aspect of the bowls. Which I think would send you to Hawaii to handle the bulldogs.
I know you said you messed it up, but since you mentioned it, I agree it seems odd to send Memphis to the Liberty Bowl rather than SMU.
On the surface, absolutely. But the city of Memphis has a special relationship with that bowl, and supports it to the max.
And the LB director will likely lean to Memphis over SMU, since Memphis is likely about to take ownership of the stadium where the bowl is played, lol.
And Memphis fans would love to gain redemption for that one-point loss a few years ago.
But for the AAC to have any shot, regardless of which team, we need the 3 5-6 SEC teams to lose this week.
Miss State tonight to Ole Miss, and on Saturday, Florida to FSU and South Carolina to Clemson. All 3 teams we want to win are favored, but all 3 games are also being played on the underdog's field. And all 3 big rivalry games, so anything can happen.
Ole Miss at Miss State right now on ESPN. Early 4Q. Ole Miss leading 17-7.
