Some interesting games today and I plan to watch a good number listed on the QV Man Cave lineup. I also want to see a bit of the Indiana vs. Purdue battle (hoping the Hoosiers can end their season on a positive note).

You know the Big Ten is winning when they make it on quo vadis's 75"!

Of course I'm watching The Game!

Northwestern-Illinois to see if my Illinois can get into a bowl game:)

Florida State-Florida under the lights.

Good lineup. Of interest to me is who is fighting for a bowl game. Note that I’m not looking at disqualifiers like if a school finished 6-6 but played 2 FCS schools or if the school is in transition from FCS. Record only.

Games finishing prior to Saturday:

Finished 6-6 (bowl eligible)
Eastern Michigan
Boston College
Texas Tech
Utah St

Finished 5-7 (long-shot bowl eligible)
Central Michigan
Mississippi St
Nebraska
TCU

Finished 4-8 (not bowl eligible)
Hawaii
Michigan St
New Mexico
Western Michigan

Has Games to Play

Can finish as high as 6-6 (bowl eligible)
Army
BYU
California
Central Florida
Colorado St
Florida
Illinois
Louisiana - Lafayette
Marshall
Minnesota
Navy (has 2 games to play; currently 5-5)
Northern Illinois
Old Dominion
Rice
South Florida
Syracuse
Virginia Tech
Washington St

Can finish as high as 5-7 (long-shot bowl eligible)
Ball St
Colorado
Florida Atlantic
Florida International
Houston
Middle Tennessee St
North Texas
South Carolina
UAB
Wake Forest

Games remaining with 2 teams listed above:
Army - Navy
Central Florida - Houston
Florida Atlantic - Rice
North Texas - UAB
Syracuse - Wake Forest

I may well tune in to that game as well. Classic rivalry.

I love the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry, who doesn't?

This is the 50th anniversary of the first time I watched that game. I remember watching the 1973 game, the one that ended in a 10-10 tie, with my dad on TV. That game epitomized "three yards and a cloud of dust", LOL, but I was mesmerized. I also remember the subsequent controversy over who went to the Rose Bowl.

I might check out Northwestern vs Illinois too.

It's not just the big-brand rivalries like the Iron Bowl and Ohio State/Michigan that give CFB its culture, its the lesser-brand rivalries too, all the way down the line.

I was so locked into the Michigan vs. Ohio State game that I followed the IU vs. Purdue contest on my phone. The Hoosiers gamely battled but fell a bit short.

I trust the QV Man Cave is humming with college football and joyous with the scent of beer and popcorn.
