WKU advanced to the NCAA tournament as CUSA Champion. They received a 6 seed and will play unseeded Coastal Carolina on 12/1.

UTEP and MTSU received bids to the NVIC Tournament.

UTEP beat some NCAA tournament teams, including SE Louisiana, as well as fellow some NVIC qualifiers, including Chicago State, and MTSU twice. UTEP will host North Texas on 12/1.

I have not followed MTSU much, so I really don’t know their schedule, but I’m sure some of their fans can probably assist in that. MTSU will also host their first round game against Ball State on 11/30.

Middle Tennessee lost to Ball State 3-1. They had a downer ending to their season with 4 straight losses, after being on a 10 game win streak up until the end.

Sun Belt terribly overrated. All four teams lost (three of them swept) with South Al taking one of three. Massey computer ratings (which are probably a better gauge than RPI) had Sun Belt ranked 12th as a conference with JMU as best-rated team at #70. No way the Belt deserved four teams based on scarce out of conference quality wins but RPI's for all four teams somehow landed in the 40's and better.

No real surprise here that WKU beat Coastal, and no real surprise that SBC got beat 12 games to 1 and lost by an average of six points per game. In volleyball, that's not being competitive folks. I look forward to Delaware's VB joining us; they had a close one against Mizzou.

WKU now has the longest streak in the nation for consecutive 20 win seasons at 24 and has now recorded their tenth 30 win season in program history.

UTEP over Clemson 3-1 to advance to the final 4. Record crowd in a sold out Memorial gym on UTEP's campus, 3,271.

UTEP hosts USF Sunday afternoon in a semi-final match.

UTEP downs USF 3-0 today to advance to the championship on Tuesday night. UTEP will host Wichita State. Another sellout at UTEP today. This is now our only decent sport.

Wichita State downs UTEP 3-0 tonight to win the NIVC.

Yep, these farmgirls were tough and the Miners stuck with them but still lost in the end. Congrats to the Miners as they nothing to be ashamed of. They played in the championship game and that is something to be proud of. I think Wichita's state height was the key factor, they were tall. Plus, there were quite a few bad serves by a lot of Miners.
