Am I the only one that understands how contradictory this is?

You do realize that other coaching staffs from other teams can use our assistant position coach revolving door against us in recruiting right? Its a rather dirty tactic, but it can be effective. Other coaching staffs already use our staff's lack of contract term against them in recruiting.

You realize we can use that against other teams as well? College football coaches, assistants in particular, all move around annually. LOL- how many schools gonna be able to say they dont lose assistants.

Ehh. We can maybe outbid some lower tier FBS MAC teams and maybe some FCS/D2 teams. There are still plenty of teams that are further ahead of us in the bidding war regards though.

When you aren’t losing assistants in football, you have a bad staff.

Longevity plays a part here. Its debatable about losing assistants/having a bad staff to correlate. We had this specific coach for one month. We will truly have no clue on how good/or bad his line of work was.

And he is not the only coach Ricky has had hired to more high profile gigs.

Im still going to argue for better financial stability and healthier contracts for our entire coaching staff. Because I truly believe it is not where it needs to be. Even for our level, and not comparing it to the P5.

You are just going to argue for nonsense. That is well established.

RE: Football Coaching Carousel 2023-2024
Ideally, we want to become a desirable stepping stone, where good young coaches come with the intention of moving up when they prove themselves.

To that end, we do NOT want excessive and unrealistic buyout clauses. The best coaches will not consider us otherwise.
