The Dukes only have one game at Hampton between now and the next AP poll release so there is a great chance JMU remains in the national consciousness as a top 25 team for another full week.
The Pirates are brutal with a 1-5 record and 3 uncounted “victories” against teams called Mid-Atlantic Christian, Mary Baldwin, and VA-Lynchburg. These are not made up names boys and girls.
The team does like to run so we may see triple digits for the Dukes again in a fast paced matchup.
Hampton doesn’t draw many fans. In addition, their campus will be closed after exams end this week so tickets will be easy to get and fans can sit as close to the court as they want. If JMU fans don’t outnumber Hampton fans, then I will be very disappointed.
It is a great chance for Hampton Roads fans to see the #20 Dukes twice in one week.
The game time is a nice convenient 2PM start to allow for travel in/travel out on the same day with time to mix in some Christmas shopping or holiday parties afterwards.
#20 James Madison 187
#314 Hampton 68
:lauramac:Run it up Byington. Billy Tubbs style. No mercy. The SOS is not going to help the Dukes at all this year.
