Trust me, it almost derailed it. To their credit, they didn't devote a lot of attention to it. Trans people should feel marginalized and exploited that the producers weren't more inclusive by not spending more time virtue signaling. And besides, the little tranny didn't last long.
It's a shame such a simple thing nearly caused you to miss a great piece of media. I wonder what else in life you might have missed due to your sensitivity

ep5-7 were barely watchable ... it was worth the run thru for the writing (that's usually what I focus upon) and the Ghoul ... w/o the Ghoul, it's a 1/10 ...
