Another reason...
...why Nikki Haley - in addition to her response to question "What caused the Civil War?" - should not be president:

RE: Another reason...
Just another spine-less twit that wants to be president. It is not obvious at all to people in her state that the Civil War was about slavery, they still claim that it was state's rights, so that's why she tried to play both sides. That party has not come to grips with slavery at all. They pretend that they're not racist, and they don't want to admit it, but they are - nowhere more than in South Carolina.

You might want to re-check your history as to which party is racist:

Yes, 150 years ago it was the Democrats that were the problem. Even 80 years ago. It was bad then, too. You're confusing IS, with WAS.

You claim the party is racist, can you support this with any facts or is it just your opinion?

Dear Brownandgoldlaker,
In answer to your question; how about after the election of 1964, I believe, but would have to check to be sure, when all of the democratic senators of the South, who at the time were confirmed racists, became republicans.
Do you think for one moment, they changed their racial beliefs just because they changed parties?

Strom Thurmond (a segregationist) was the only one who switched parties. But that's not an indictment of an entire party.

But since we are talking about racist party, in 1964 it was 20 Sen Dems voted against civil rights act, with only 1 voting in favor. There was also only 1 southern republican who also voted against. In the House 83 Southern democrats voted against with only 8 in favor. And all the 11 Southern rep voted against.

Since we are on the topic of racist politics, I'm surprised no one has commented on Bidens close relation with Thurmond and how in 1975 Biden (a Democrat) "led the charge on an issue that kept black students away from the classrooms of white students":

Joe Biden didn't just compromise with segregationists. He fought for their cause in schools, experts say:

RE: Another reason...
And who is currently saying there is no systemic racism? Who is referring to Black Lives Matter as a terrorist organization? Who keeps ending up having to distance themselves from the racists (and Nazis) that show up at their rallies?

It isn't the Democrats.

It's called progress, which the Democrats want, and the Republicans fight tooth and nail against - they seem to want to live in the 19th century.

"Predators". "They/them".

"Racial Jungle"

Even with all of the "scrubbing" going on, and all of the left leaning "fact checking" on today's internet, there's still plenty out there.

Which is worse?

The outright racist sentiments?

Or the use of racial politics to further one's political career?

Trump's entire political career (i.e. the last decade) has been based on racial politics.

Isn't interesting how Trump continues to increase his share of minority support. It must be from all those racist brown and black people.

Bidens current campaign strategy vs running on his record.
