MONEY "UNITS" (revenue distribution units) for Women's Basketball in a similar way as Men's BB--although at a lower amount estimated to be 25-45% of the current Men's Unit. Sounds likely according to new NCAA president Baker. Of course there is much less parity in WBB but still--a new revenue source for schools in CUSA is a positive.
More emphasis needs to be put on improving WBB in CUSA---and it might become a "little" more important when making any conference additions. Notice I did say a Little.
WBB has for sure become the THIRD most watched NCAA sport Even SB and VB have edged out Baseball in recent ratings.
A few points:
-- 40 Sports included (Eleven newly added)
-- 920 Million Dollar Deal Eight years (2032), 115M a year starts this Fall
-- Current Deal was ONLY 34 Million yearly
-- WBB portion Alone estimated to be 65 million yearly (NCAA "units" a possibility)
--**This deal also includes the new Men's NIT AND the new Women's Basketball "NIT"
