Bulldogs and Bearkats in SHSU’s inaugural CUSA conference matchup.

Bulldogs last visited Huntsville four years ago when Sam picked up their lone win in the series between the two schools.

I would expect SHSU to be without top scorer Lamar Wilkerson and F Cam Huefner. Neither played in the final OOC game.

LaTech is a 6.5 point favorite on the road. Expecting a small crowd without students, but should be a fun environment nonetheless!

La Tech has looked very strong in Non conference games. IMO they get the "W" today.

They did, and talking to some folks from Ruston, sounds like their OOC should’ve been even better if not for some tough luck against Saint Louis and Grand Canyon.

Kats got it done against a tough Dawgs team today though. Wilkerson was able to play and was the difference in the game, 24 points and physical defense. Not an ‘A’ game for the Kats but did enough down the stretch to get the win!

Nobody is more surprised about this outcome than Sam Houston fans.

Nothing to take away from SHSU, we are good not good on the road, and even though we have talent, we are not there yet. Coaching is not the best, but on the road, we can't get over the hump. Total congrats to SHSU. They outplayed us.

Team was ravaged by a respiratory infection last week. Left us with several starters less than 100% and a short bench.
